Confluence Cloud Specialist

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Confluence Cloud Specialist. In this role, you will take ownership of managing and automating our Confluence Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Confluence Cloud administration, automation through REST API integration, and the ability to generate and maintain high-quality documentation. Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of experience working with Confluence Cloud administration and customization.

• API Knowledge: Strong proficiency with Confluence Cloud REST API, including the ability to automate documentation workflows and integrate with third-party systems.

• Technical Skills: Experience with JSON, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or other scripting languages for formatting and presenting content within Confluence.

• Tools: Familiarity with API tools such as Postman for testing and developing integrations.

• Authentication: Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API tokens, and secure practices in handling API calls.

• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot API integration issues and work with rate limits or API errors.

• Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams to understand documentation needs and deliver solutions that improve knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confluence Cloud Administration: Manage and configure Confluence spaces, pages, and user permissions to support organizational documentation needs.

  
  

• REST API Integration: Utilize Confluence Cloud’s REST API to automate the creation, updating, and formatting of documentation.

  
  

• Automation of Documentation: Develop workflows to auto-generate Confluence pages from external data sources (e.g., databases, third-party systems) via API calls.

  
  

• Custom Content Creation: Design and implement page templates, macros, and plugins to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of Confluence pages.

  
  

• Authentication & Security: Handle API authentication (OAuth 2.0, API tokens), ensuring secure access to Confluence APIs and safeguarding data integrity.

  
  

• Data Integration: Connect Confluence with third-party tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, databases) to streamline cross-platform collaboration and data sharing.

  
  

• Documentation Maintenance: Ensure that auto-generated content stays current and consistent, implementing version control and monitoring API responses for errors or rate limits.

  
  

• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for Confluence-related issues, especially regarding REST API usage and integration challenges.

  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience with Jira integration or other Atlassian tools.

2. Familiarity with Confluence storage format (XML/JSON) and plugin development.

3. Previous experience automating large-scale documentation systems in a cloud-based environment.
